Though most often thought of as a cool growing region, there are warmer reaches of the Russian River perfect for Zinfandel. Our fruit hails from old vine blocks planted in 1934, in the excitement that followed the repeal of Prohibition. This ruby red Zinfandel offers enticing aromas of ripe red fruit and orange peel, which intertwine with hallmark notes of green peppercorns and black pepper. Flavors are lively and abundant, driven by red raspberries, sweet red cherry and currant with a bright acidity lifting the wine and leading to a perfect finish of finely integrated tannins.
